Prince of Peace Grant Opportunity

Dear Friends,

An Invitation. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), is soliciting requests for funding (RFF) proposals from other non-profit agencies for projects and activities in your organization that support the mission of Prince of Peace and increases its ability to do good.

Background. When members of Zion Lutheran Church voted to join Prince of Peace, they made their church property a resource for supporting new church ministries. The sale of the property allows their vision to live on through the PoP + Zion Fund. The Fund provides financial awards to individuals and organizations that emphasize making the world a better place in tangible ways, which would include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting local/national/international mission outreach

  • Providing basic human needs

  • Enhancing the ongoing ministries of Prince of Peace

Eligibility. As a charitable organization that has received donations from our members in 2021, your organization is eligible to apply for additional funding for activities or projects congruent with your stated goals that also support Prince of Peace’s desire to be an agent for good in a more expansive manner than it could accomplish acting alone.

Details. Grants will be one-time awards and are designed to be used within a year of disbursement. However, in special circumstances the funding committee will consider projects that are longer in scope. Awards typically range from a few hundred dollars to up to several thousand and may be used for any expenses directly related to the proposed project as detailed in the RFF. An organization or an individual may apply for funding but individuals applying must be able to certify that the organization endorses and will implement the request.

Process. All applications must be submitted electronically at www.propeace.org/domoregood. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2022. Applicants will be notified of the status of their request by the end of March 2022.

Contact. If you have any questions, need further information about the process, or would like to discuss the appropriateness or eligibility of a particular project please contact the committee at domoregood@propeace.org.

We look forward to working with you in this important endeavor.

In His service,

The PoP + Zion Distribution Committee
