About the Position:
Under the direction of the Pastor, complete tasks and projects and provide assistance to the Pastor, other church staff, Congregational leaders and members to support the congregational life and worship and outreach activities of its members and visitors. Position requires ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Essential Functions of the JOB
Create, proof and print worship bulletins for Sundays and special services (including weddings, funerals).
Draft, prepare, print, and distribute monthly newsletter and electronic updates at least weekly or more often as needed and update the information on the website quarterly
Prepare needed statistical information for Synod; prepare materials for and attend and record attendance for congregational meetings and attend monthly Council meetings
Maintain schedules for Acolytes, Lectors, Assisting Ministers for Sunday and special services and send reminders and readings as needed and other duties for our worship services
Maintain and update member information database, track congregation attendance and pastoral acts and transmit information to Synod as required; prepare member directory on an annual basis and mailing lists as required; maintain record of terms of service for Council members
Order worship, office and kitchen supplies and keep bulletin boards and common areas are well organized
