Parochial Reports
Parochial reports are the way that we asses the state of our congregations and budget for our collaborative work. Parochial reports reflect for us where there are ministry opportunities and needs. They also tell us what part of your ministry we can celebrate with you!
Parochial reports measure ministry, stewardship and innovation and therefore require collaboration of congregational leaders. Officers, Pastors and administrators will need to help one another to complete these reports.
These forms share important information about your congregation, and ultimately contribute to the greater knowledge of what ministry in the ELCA and our synod looks like. In turn, this gives all of us greater capacity to address the needs of our ministries and participate in the proclamation of the Good News.
Every congregations in the Sierra Pacific Synod must fill out the Congregation Report (Form A), Congregation's Programs Report (Form C) and Financial Stewardship Worksheet.
These Reports will be available the second week of January 2023 and can be accessed at elca.org/congregationreport.

We strongly encourage your congregation to submit your forms online this year. If you need to submit your forms on paper, you will mail the original completed forms to the synod office at 1800 55th Ave, Oakland, CA 94621.

Our Synod Statistician, Lance Kelly, is available to support your congregation with any questions or concerns that may arise during this process, as well as provide your congregation with your individualized password. You can connect with Lance at statistics@spselca.org.
Additionally, if you are looking for more guidance on how to complete your Parochial Reports, Synod Statistician Lance Kelly and Synod Vice President Simon Wong will host a zoom meeting for Church Staff to provide direction and individualized support on Friday, January 27th, time TBD. Similarly, Lance and Simon will also host a zoom meeting for Congregational Lay Leaders looking for additional Parochial Report support on Saturday, January 28th, time TBD. A zoom link for both meetings will be shared closer to the date.
