Update on the Professional Leaders Conference (PLC) & Fall Conference Gatherings

The Professional Leaders Conference is a multi-day retreat for Professional Leaders throughout the Sierra Pacific Synod to gather in community, learn and worship, and have space for renewal heading into the year. We've gathered in the mountains of Tahoe and along the coast of Monterey over the years.

However, with the continued season of transition our synod lives into, there will not be a traditional Professional Leaders Conference this year. Instead, Bishop Claire Burkat, Vice President Simon Wong, and our Conference Deans are collaborating to host a series of smaller Conference Gatherings held throughout the fall.

Each Conference Dean is planning a weekend gathering for rostered and lay folk throughout the synod to gather for a time of fellowship and conversation with new synodical leadership. This time together may feature a time of worship, a shared meal together, intentional space for listening, and lots of conversation with Bishop Claire, VP Simon, and each Conference Dean.

Because of the diverse geographic sizes of each conference, some gatherings will take place over multiple days and locations. Be on the lookout for more details regarding times and locations - and remember that ALL are welcome to join! We would love to see parishioners, church council members, pastors, deacons, youth, and so many others present at each gathering.
