Meeting for Congregational Leaders

Congregation Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, and Treasurers, Join your Synod VP, Secretary, and Treasurer for another conversation/discussion on what has been happening in your congregations and provide feedback to the Synod on what we can do to help you. We previously met with many of you in April and it is time to gather, talk, and find support as we continue to be Church in 2021. We will do our meeting via Zoom on July 17th from 10:30 to noon. Please let us know if you will be attending our meeting, the name of your congregation, and what capacity you serve in your congregation (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary) – please RSVP to: synodvicepresident@spselca.org by July 10th Once we have your registration, the Zoom meeting information will be sent to you. We have the honor of Bishop-Elect (BE) Megan Rohrer at our July meeting. BE Rohrer will give us their vision for the future of our Synod. Other agenda items:

  • What are your plans for in-person services? If you are meeting in-person, are you still doing a livestream of your service? What does a church service look like for your congregation now?

  • What does your congregational mission support look like now?

  • Where can the Synod help you? Synod Council and visiting congregations.

The Office of the Bishop, Synod Staff, and Synod Council are thankful for your continued service and for your mission support. We are all here making God’s work possible. Philippians 4:12-13 I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, or having plenty and of being in need. I can do all things through God who strengthens me. Peace, Gail Kiyomura Pr. Sharon Amundson Jeff Pennington Vice President Treasurer Secretary
