A Farewell Letter from Synod Vice President Gail Kiyomura

As Synod Vice President Gail Kiyomura concluded her four years of service with us this past weekend, she wrote a beautiful letter to the people of the Sierra Pacific Synod.

"To my beloved Synod, I am overwhelmed with "thank you's" many of you posted on the padlet - my time as your vice president was rewarding and spirit-filled.

This past year has been unusual and, at times, stressful but what the last few years have shown us is this Synod is resilient and resourceful. God gives us strength when we need it, Jesus will comfort us when we are weary, and the Holy Spirit will keep us nimble as we move forward to "what's next". Know you are in good hands with Interim Bishop Burkat, Synod Council, and Synod Staff.

In the words of Monty Python - "I'm not dead yet" - if you need a substitute pianist for your church, please feel free to email at gkiyo00@yahoo.com.

I remain honored and humbled to have been a servant to this Synod."
